In March of 2026 we have some video evidence that the current Water quality and fish management practices are on the right track.
A school of "golden shiners" were recorded along the Northeastern portion of the lake in shallow waters. The water quality was clear and in the full sun, the water was probably warmer. These are necessary to the health of the lake as they represent a food source for the fish that we have in the lake.
The wildlife also know where the food is and one of our migrating frequent flyers, a Merganser Duck, is taking an opportunity for an easy dinner.
The ripples around the Merganser on the left are the school of fish.
The years long efforts of the Board, Water Quality and Fish committes are showing results. Thank you to all the Board & Committee members for a job well done.
